Study (Witchcraft) With Some Halloween Lo-Fi Videos

Or should I say... Hallo-fi

If you're a fan of studying to lo-fi beats, you'll be happy to know that there are a ton of Halloween-appropriate lo-fi videos out there. Whether you're prepping for midterms, learning about something new during quarantine, or studying witchcraft, these videos have got you covered.

In addition to music, and sometimes pleasant rain sounds, the videos typically feature pretty art – or even animation – of ghosts, pumpkins, and other seasonal delights.

Personally, I'm a fan of listening to Halloween lo-fi while I do research about vampires, horror punk, Fall recipes, and a myriad of other things – it keeps me in the spooky mood without distracting me from the task at hand.

Lo-fi music, which was initially popularized in the 80s (although the term dates back to the 1950s), is today associated with coziness and nostalgia – perfect for Fall. The genre is defined as music that includes "elements normally viewed as undesirable in professional contexts, such as misplayed notes, environmental interference, or phonographic imperfections (degraded audio signals, tape hiss, and so on)".

So – why not listen to some spooky lo-fi music while you study, draw, or take a look at some of our other posts?

What's your favourite lo-fi video? Let me know in the comments below(-fi)!
