Three Super Simple Fall Recipes

Get that Fall feeling in an instant.

One of my favourite things about Fall is the food. Apple pie, gingersnaps, stuffed squash, pumpkin everything. In fact, I had pumpkin soup just today – and it was delicious, but it took a while to make. Fall tends to be one of the busier seasons – school and sports start up, vacation season ends, and we begin to leave lazy summer days behind – which doesn't leave a lot of time to make elaborate dishes. With these three super simple recipes, you can get a taste of Fall even on your busiest days.

Apple Crumble

While apple crumble can take a while to cook, it takes very little time to prepare, and you might even have all the ingredients already! It's also a good gluten free alternative to apple pie. For the best results, you should use Macintosh or Gala apples.

Pumpkin Spice Milkshake

I associate Fall with cold weather and hot food, but sometimes, especially in early Fall, the weather is too warm to bake or make hot drinks. This pumpkin spice milkshake is a great warm-weather alternative to a pumpkin spice latte – you can even top it off with a shot of espresso if you want a bit of a caffeine kick.

Hot Apple Cider (Non-Alcoholic)

All of that being said, when the weather does get cold, there's nothing better than a hot drink. This mulled cider is the perfect hot drink for all ages. You don't have to use every single spice listed here – use what you have, or experiment with different spices.
