Amplify Collective's Halloween Collection Is Here – And It's Fabulous

Get ready for some killer fashion.

Toronto-based company Amplify Collective specializes in "experimental unisex designs and upcycling" – but they also specialize in making clothes and accessories for a cause (or, rather, many causes). Items like their "Indigenous" slogan tees (the proceeds for which are donated to the Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto), or anything in their Black Lives Matter-themed "RELENTLESS" collection (made by Black artists and helping to raise money for the documentary Black In Post-sec), are statement pieces in more ways than one.

This Fall, Amplify Collective released a collection of unique, creepy-chic Halloween themed accessories and makeup. They were even kind enough to send me some of those accessories to try on for myself.

Amplify Collective's pieces are all carefully handmade – they strive to create not just accessories but "wearable art". Nowhere is this more clear than in their iconic hats and headbands.

The Halloween collection – called the "CREEPER collection" – features several beautiful hats, inspired by bats, bones, spiderwebs, and even zombie fingers. One of my favourites is this black and red quarter spiderweb hat, which also acts as a hairlip.

I chose to pair the hat with the ELECTRIFIED necklace, a fun chain necklace featuring multi-coloured resign lightning bolts.

This isn't the only spiderweb-inspired hat in the collection, however. There are also half and full spiderweb hats available. All of them are the perfect mix of spooky and elegant – something you might wear to a dinner party with Morticia Addams.

Both of the spiderweb hats pictured here act as hair clips, but the hats in the CREEPER collection are also available as headbands. If you're a headband person, you might be a fan of their Bone Collector Headband, which features a pile of resin bones.

I chose to pair this headband with the ELECTRIFIED necklace again, but it would also pair perfectly with the Ouija earrings. I don't have any piercings, but I loved the planchette charms so much I hung one from a necklace.

Along with the necklace and headband, I'm wearing eyeliner and lipstick from Amplify Collective's cosmetics collection.

If you're interested in getting any of these products – or checking out the rest of the CREEPER collection or the other items mentioned above – you can go to Amplify Collective's website or follow them on Instagram. Aside from creating clothing and accessories, they also do event curation – if you're interested in working with them for an event, you can reach out via email at connect@amplifycollective.ca.

Which of these items is your favourite? Let me know down in the comments.
